“Why Orientation?”

Being an Orientation Leader was not just an experience, it was an adventure. Meeting Hartwick faculty and incoming students allowed me to come out of my shell. 2009 was the first year that Hartwick had Orientation Leaders and it served to be an incredible success. Incoming freshman and transfer students got the chance to meet each other and talk about their concerns or what they were excited about. In a short day some students even met their future roommates and best friends. They also got to ask us any questions. Seeing smiles from the parents and incoming students was well worth it!
