FROM THIS DEPARTMENT

DIG DEEPER

In 2007, I took part in GIS Digital Geologic Mapping, a geology class that teaches skills needed to create maps on the computer. I completed an internship with the consulting firm Tectonic during the prior summer. I worked on a variety of jobs for Tectonic, and I called them when I had to do a project for the GIS class. They had a project in mind and after much hard work, I finished a line of site analysis. The feeling of completing the project was great, but not nearly as rewarding as presenting the results to an audience at the Scholar Showcase. This May will be my 3rd showcase presentation!
