In the fall of 2009 for my Econometrics class, I did an empirical study on underage drinking and used regression analysis to model the effects of drinking deterrent legislation and socioeconomic factors on levels of binge drinking among teenagers aged 18-21. My professor encouraged me to submit an abstract of my paper to the NCUR conference, and my paper was selected, along with three other students in my class. In April, we flew out to the conference in Missoula, MT and presented our papers for other students and professors taking part in the conference, and saw others present as well. Contact admissions |
