DIG DEEPER

For my Biology in Practice Lab, we hiked up past the practice football field to sample the amount of invasive plants in an area that had been logged 3 years ago. Dr. Kuhlmann has brought his classes up there since the year before the logging to see the effect the disturbance had on the amount of invasive species in the area. We worked in 7 groups of 3, sampling about 10 to 20 meters apart heading west. Our samplings covered an area of 15 meters by 10 meters. Each group did about ten of these quadrants. It was a beautiful day to be outside, and I got to know more about my peers.
