I studied abroad in Costa Rica from Jan. 2010 until May 2010. It was the scariest yet most thrilling and beneficial thing I have ever done. I lived with an elderly Tica woman and her 16 year old nephew, took 5 all-Spanish courses, and traveled all around the country. I learned what it feels like to be out of my element. Getting off the bus from the airport was one of the scariest moments of my life. I was not going back to the US for 4 months and barely spoke the native language. But I embraced it, fell in love with the country and its people, and grew into the person I am today :) Contact admissions |
