Professor Esperanza Roncero lead a group of Hartwick students through the Andes Mountains exploring Latin American culture while perfecting the Spanish language. From Cuzco to Machu Picchu, we visited the indigenous communities of Huilloc and Patacancha to study their culture, along with visiting some of the oldest archeological sites in the world from the Incan empire. An extensive 3 day 2 night hike through the mountains allowed us to explore different topographies of the region while putting our physical and emotional limits to the test... a true cultural and once in a lifetime experience.
