“You don't have to be elected to become a part of Hall Council! Anyone can join!”

For my first year as a Hartwick student I lived up at Hilltop. After a few days as a new student, I went to the Hilltop and Oyaron Hall Council interest meeting. Jill Basile, the Assistant Director of Res Life, told me that I could become elected onto the e-board, even as a first year student! I ran for Vice President, and was later elected. I was so excited. Every residence hall has a Hall Council, and anyone can be a part of it. We would meet once a week and plan events for our residence halls. I highly recommend getting involved with your Hall Council; it’s a great way to make a difference!
