DIG DEEPER

For six weeks this past summer, Kyle Greenberg and I worked with Zsuzsanna Balogh-Brunstad in Pullman, Washington. We aided her in some of her research about biofilm. While in WA, Kyle and I learned how to conduct research in a national lab and were taught how to use scanning electron microscopes, transmission electron microscopes, and helium ion microscopes. While we weren't in the lab, we visited several state and national parks, including Glacier National Park and Mount Rainier. On this trip, I learned valuable lab and field skills that will help me in my future career.
