Learn French outside the classroom

On the weekend of October 14, eleven students enrolled in my Intermediate French I class traveled to Montréal to immerse themselves in a French-speaking city. The first night, we had dinner at a restaurant which featured traditional French and Native American cuisine served by musicians and actors recreating a tavern from the 17th century. The next day, students explored the charms of the old city as well as all the modern city has to offer. The trip was a chance for students to take the French they are learning in the classroom and use it in real life.
