Hartwick and Greensneakers.org fundraising effort for Schoharie flood relief

Hartwick College was contacted by an organization working with Greensneakers.org and fundraising efforts for Schoharie County flood relief. The Hartwick community was asked to donate old sneakers and in exchange those sneakers were added to a sum total of 2,207 pounds of recycled sneakers collected overall. Hartwick's combined efforts assisted in an allocation of $1,200 going to Rooms of Hope. Rooms of Hope provides people in need with sheetrock and supplies to rebuild a 12'x12' room in their home.
