DIG DEEPER

Pine Lake is full of adventures, not all of them occurring right at the Lake. This January, a group of Pine Lakers went to Snowfest in Mine Kill State Park to watch a Pine Lake alumnus give a speech on the geology of our area. We traveled through millions of years in a half hour and learned about the ever moving plates of the Earth. Later, we experienced the changing land first hand by hiking to the Mine Kill Falls and watching the water plummet down an 80 foot gorge. We finished off the trip roasting marshmallows before piling into the Pine Lake Shuttle and heading back to the Lake.
