I curated an exhibit at The Yager Museum of Art & Culture, which is the campus' museum. I worked at the museum over the summer and learned a lot about behind the scenes work in the museum field. One project was to create an exhibit around a local artist named, Carl Planksy, who died in 2009. The museum was acquiring a painting of his so it was my job to make it easier for visitors to know some background info on the artist and the painting itself. I did a lot of research online and interviewed my art professor, who knew him, and the artist's sister. Contact admissions |
