“I never saw myself taking a class on puppetry...Hartwick definitely changes you!”

Puppetry In Performance 2013
We learned comedy, dance, and improv.
Learning the physical aspect to puppetry was very arduous.
Sometimes we had to let loose and enjoy the silliness!

DIG DEEPER

This past fall I was cast in Hartwick Theater's production of Shakespeare's "The Tempest". But, instead of doing normal stage acting, we would be using puppets! During the Puppetry in Performance class I took during J Term, we learned about all different types of puppets: the Bunraku style, using masks, we even had a shadow puppet performance as a project! Every morning we would warm up using them by trying to express daily human movements through the puppet. "The Tempest" is definitely going to be a show to see!
